Hiking in and around Mayrhofen

Hiking in and around Mayrhofen

Easy walks, moderate routes for a pleasant day hike, summit tours and even extended treks – the Mayrhofen region is a source of constant inspiration for countless hiking fans. Our apartments are an ideal base for holidays filled with outdoor activity!

Hike and enjoy the invigorating mountain air

Would you like to start your hike already up on the mountain? With the help of the Mayrhofen mountain lifts, making your way up to beyond the 2,000-meter mark becomes child’s play. Choose between the Ahornbahn or Penkenbahn, lifts that run to the top of Mayrhofen’s two local peaks.

Most of the mountain hiking paths begin right next to the lift stations. And once on the Penken, you can head for higher elevations still, all the way to the top of the Rastkogel, in fact, at 2700 meters above sea level. The four-hour hike promises memorable alpine impressions and magical mountain trails.

The Ahorn is a mountain for more laid-back enjoyment, likewise boasting a wealth of hiking routes that combine perfectly with a visit to the Ahornsee or the bird-of-prey show, which takes place daily in summer.
