Would you like to get to know the Zillertal in an active way and immerse yourself in the natural elements of the Alps? Exciting leisure activities such as climbing, canyoning or rafting are all about body control, team spirit, a small portion of courage and, of course, lots of fun!
When you're in the mountains, there's only one direction to go: up! Right in Mayrhofen there are several via ferratas with various levels of difficulty. The Huterlaner via ferrata, the Himmelsleiter climbing garden and the Zimmereben via ferrata are about a 30-minute walk from our apartments. The routes on the Penken or the via ferrata directly onto the 131m high Schlegeis dam wall promise even more climbing pleasure.

Canyoning, rafting and more
Climbing, sliding, swimming and jumping into crystal-clear mountain water: canyoning combines action, fun and discoveries in nature like hardly any other leisure activity. One of the first places to go for canyoning in Mayrhofen is the Actionclub - a provider that specialises in outdoor adventures. Together with trained guides, you can go on a variety of canyoning tours for beginners, advanced or families.
In rafting, rapids and turbulent passages have to be overcome. Teamwork is required to reach the destination by boat - each participant must do their bit against the power of the waves. The rafting adventure can start directly in Mayrhofen and leads to Hippach on the river Ziller. The organisers provide the necessary equipment and inform about all important safety aspects. Rafting is fun for the whole family!
Tandem paragliding (possible all year round) takes you to lofty heights as you marvel at the Zillertal mountains from above with the help of certified flying aces. Other highlights in the Zillertal include Flying Fox, Arena Coaster (summer toboggan run), e-bike tours and much more.
